Painter's Helper

J’s Painting is hiring a painter’s helper. This is an entry-level spot for someone who wants to learn the painting trade from the ground up. You don’t need painting experience. You need to show up when you said you would, work hard, and pay attention.
Justin spent 15 years working under another painter before starting J’s Painting. He knows what it takes to come up in this trade and he’s looking for someone who wants to do the same.
What you’ll do
- Move and set up ladders, drop cloths, plastic, and tape
- Mask off trim, windows, floors, and furniture
- Help prep surfaces — sanding, scraping, light patching
- Carry materials, mix paint, keep the site organized
- Clean brushes, rollers, sprayers, and the work area at end of day
- Learn to cut in and roll under Justin’s direction
What we’re looking for
- Reliable transportation to the shop or job site
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically able to lift 50 lb, climb ladders, and work on your feet all day
- Comfortable around customers, pets, and kids
- Willing to learn — if you ask questions and listen, you’ll move up
