J’s Painting is hiring a painter who’s strong on cabinets and trim. Kitchen cabinet refinishing, built-ins, doors, baseboards, crown, wood beams — the finish work that customers actually run their hands across.
These are the jobs our reviews call out the most, so we’re being picky about who we hire to do them.
What you’ll do
- Refinish kitchen cabinets — disassemble, prep, prime, spray, reassemble
- Paint and finish interior trim, doors, baseboards, crown, and built-ins
- Set up and tear down spray rigs, plastic containment, and dust control
- Sand between coats, fill nail holes, caulk seams — the slow part that makes the finish
- Match sheens, colors, and existing finishes when called for
- Work clean in occupied homes (we put plastic up to keep pets and dust apart)
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years painting experience with real cabinet or fine-finish work in your history
- Comfortable with HVLP and airless sprayers
- Patient with prep — you don’t skip steps when no one’s looking
- Steady hand for cut-in and detail work
- Valid driver’s license, own transportation
- Photos of past cabinet or trim work a plus
